Please Buy Tickets in Advance – Buying Tickets at the Door Strongly Discouraged

Several classmates have asked about buying tickets at the door of the reunion event at the Towne House.

While we would like to be as flexible as possible, we urge you to buy your ticket(s) in advance. You can do so in 5 minutes on the website. We are strongly discouraging ticket sales at the door for the following reasons:

1) We have to give the Towne House a specific headcount by end-of-business-day Monday, October 12, along with a deposit, so they are prepared for how many hors’ doerves they make, how well the bar is stocked, and how many bartenders they have on-duty. The count we give them is going to be based upon purchased tickets. We cannot inflate our count based upon assurances from people that they will be attending. That would put us in a risky position.

People arriving at the door without a ticket in hand will cause items like hors’ doerves and bartenders to be spread thin. That would not be a good situation.

2) Your friendly reunion committee will also be acting as ticket-takers. As much as we will relish that duty, we would certainly prefer to keep it as simple as possible. The more time we spend selling tickets and handling money, the less time we will spend socializing.
